Louise E. Ehrhart, 84, of Dover, entered into rest September 5, 2009, at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Ehrhart was the wife of the late Spurgeon L. Ehrhart, Sr.

Born in York Co., June 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Daniel M. and Elizabeth E. (Gross) Emig.

She was a secretary with Reed Standard Co., in York for several years and then secretary and business manager for her husband's business S.L. Ehrhart Stained and Leaded Glass Co., in York for 27 years. She was also a homemaker. She was a graduate of West York High School Class of 1942 and was very proud of the fact that she had 12 years of perfect attendance. Louise was a member of Harmony Grove Community Church. She enjoyed canning, writing poems, going to the mountains, and going on vacations.

She leaves four children, a daughter, Bonnie E. Ehrhart of Hyner, a son, Spurgeon L. Ehrhart, Jr. and his wife, Dorene, of Spring Grove, a daughter, Peggy A. Myers and her husband, Jack L., of Dover, and a daughter, Joyce E. Frey and her husband, Robert E. of Dover; 10 grandchildren, Alysia (Ehrhart) Larson, Shandell Kennedy, Lamar Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Dirk Anderson, Amanda Lantz, Julie Wise, Laura Slattery, Emily Jeardoe and Lindsey Newlin; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Burial will be in St. Paul (Wolf's) Cemetery.
