F. JIM (FARIDON JAMES) ANDERSON

      F. Jim (Faridon James) Anderson, 87, Pleasant Grove, Utah, formerly of Weiser, died January 19, 1994 at a Pleasant Grove Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 22 at the Weiser LDS Stake Center, Weiser. Burial followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser, under the direction of Thomason Funeral home, Weiser.

      Jim was born August 24, 1906 at Cardston, Alberta, Canada, the son of James Hyde and Lydia Jane Brown Anderson. At the age of 10 he moved with his family to Weiser. He attended the University of Idaho majoring in law and later receiving his teaching certificate. He taught school for a while and also was a dairy farmer.

      He married Alvena Hauser May 26, 1934 at Weiser. The couple lived in the Weiser area for most of their married life. Mrs. Anderson preceded him in death April 10, 1983. He served as a Washington County Commissioner for several terms.

      Jim is survived by two sons, Robert Owen Anderson, of San Francisco, California and James Jerry Anderson of Meridian, Idaho; three daughters, Julia Jeannine Headley of Salt Lake City, Utah; Nancy Ann Southam of Pleasant Grove, Utah; and Mary Ellen Bair of Orangevale, California; 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ross Anderson of Reno, Nevada; four sisters Ruth Alder of Weise; Verna Lemon of Provo, Utah; Lucille Thompson of Fruitland; and LaPriel Stephan of Anchorage, Alaska.

      Jim was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.

      The family suggests memorials be made in his name to the Washington County Senior Citizens, 115 E. Idaho, Weiser 83672.
