Mrs. Ida Lightcap passed away Tuesday

Wife of the late Dr. D. S. Lightcap, she died Tuesday night in a Birmingham hospital where she had gone for treatment but a few days ago. It was announced that the body will be taken to Greenville, Mrs. Lightcap's old home, for funeral service and burial.

Mrs. Lightcap made her home in Columbiana for many years and was one of the community's most honored citizens. She was a loyal and active member of the Methodist church and so long as her health permitted, a faithful teacher in the Sunday school. She was a charter member of the Columbiana Culture Club and through all the years since that organization was established, she gave active support to its work.

She will be greatly missed in Columbiana, where she lived for so long and was so thoroughly identified with the best interests of the community.
