Emelda Antoinette Robinson Billiot, 61, a native of Grand Caillou and a resident of Houma, died Monday, July 16, 2001.

Visitation was at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass was at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Antoine Billiot of Houma; one son, Ralph Billiot Sr. of Houma, and fiancee, Kay Valure; one brother, Antoine Robinson; six sisters, Mary Gregoire and husband, Junius, Eloise Robinson, Dorothy Williams and husband, Roland, Lucille Parfait and husband, Sonny, Clara Duthu and husband, Sidney, and Veronica Fitch and husband, Leroy; seven grandchildren, Ralph Billiot Jr., Paul Foret, Ramsey Sprague, Marie Billiot, Joseph Billiot, Ethan Billiot and William Billiot; and two great-grandchildren, Chance Foret and Dylan Billiot.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Camille and Marie Billiot Robinson; and two sisters, Alma Trosclair and Eva Trahan.

She was a cook for the Terrebonne Parish School Board, a board member for the Dulac Community Center, a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
