Mr. Clyde Eugene Simpson, age 81 of Mountain Home passed away Sept. 4, 2009 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Clyde Eugene Simpson was born April 27, 1928 in Springerton, Illinois to William and Nellie (Wilson) Anderson. He married Edna November 19, 1948 in Catlickburg, KY. Mr. Simpson owned and operated 3 service stations in Michigan until moving to the Twin Lakes area in January 1971 and operated the A & W for 5 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Mr. Clyde Eugene Simpson is survived by his wife, Edna, of the home; 2 sons: Ivan (Crystal) Simpson of Granbury, TX, and Don (Ann) Simpson of Livonia, Michigan; 2 daughters: Brenda (George) Nixon of Cape Coral, FL, and Annette (Charlie) Baehm of Minot, ND; 1 brother: Charlie Simpson of Pottersville, MO; 4 sisters: Doris Mullins of Westport, CT, Betty Collins of Scottsberg, IN, Flora Shrable of Pottersville, MO, and JoAnn Byrd of Mountain Home; 12 grandchildren: Brian Simpson, Tina Frieze, Jason, Kristine, and Melissa Nixon, Jaime, Brenda, Frankie, Austin, Alexis Simpson and Candyce Giesin, Floyd Jones and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Simpson, sister, Evelyn Dusenbury and granddaughter, Amy Nixon.

Visitation for Mr. Simpson will be Noon – 9 PM Sunday, Sept. 6 at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 7 in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Dotson officiating. Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to offset medical radiation expenses for a hospice employee, Christine Cox. There will be a benefit garage bake sale September 25 and 26 across from Meeks. Checks can be dropped off at the Hospice House.
