Alfred Jacob Becker was born on November 15, 1892 in Springerton, Illinois to John Henry and Rosa Becker. He was the 2nd oldest of three sons born to the couple before his mother passed away in 1897.

According to the US World War I Draft registration dated June 15, 1917, Alfred was 24 years old with a slender build and medium height with black hair and brown eyes. He was enlisted into the Army on October 6, 1917 and served in World War I as a CPL. He was discharged of service on January 4, 1919.

Alfred Jacob was married to Dortha Edna York in 1918 and the couple had three sons together. Alfred was a farmer by trade. After the passing of his loving wife, Dortha in 1930, Alfred Jacob remarried Gertie Williams on November 17, 1942.

According to the US World War II Draft registration dated March 2, 1942 Alfred was 49 years old with a dark complexion, 5'8", 150 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair.

Alfred Jacob Becker passed away on June 6, 1980 in McLeansboro, Hamilton County, Illinois. His body was laid to rest next to his first wife Dortha Edna at Springer Cemetery in Bungay, Hamilton County, Illinois.
