Gregory Mark Banko Highland Village, Texas
Gregory Mark Banko, 48, a resident of Highland Village, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, in Lewisville, Texas. He was born on Oct. 6, 1955, a son of Walter and Elizabeth Banko. Gregory was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a love for tennis, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan and was a member of St. Philips the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a graduate of California State College in Pennsylvania and Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., and a graduate of the University of Dallas with a M.B.A. He is survived by his wife, Denise Banko; a daughter, Kelley Stubbs and her husband, Jeremy of Flower Mound, Texas; and two sons, Jason Banko of Tampa, Fla., and Michael Banko and his wife, Rachel of Hawaii; his parents, Walter and Elizabeth Banko of Everson; four brothers, Walter, James, Donald and Roger Banko; and his grandchildren, who always called him "PaPa," Lyndsey Margaret Stubbs and Mark Jeremy Stubbs. Family visitation will be held on Tuesday night, Feb. 3, 2004, from 7 to 9 p.m. at FLOWER MOUND FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Flower Mound, Texas. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Philips the Apostle RC Church in Lewisville with the Rev. Father John Stasiowski officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in Flower Mound, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
