Gregory J. Bachhuber, M.D., 89, Wausau, formerly of Tomahawk, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Port Washington, son of the late Charles Hugo and Mary Ellen (Snyder) Bachhuber. On Oct. 25, 1941, he married Dolores Doll at St. James Catholic Church, Madison. She preceded him in death May 24, 1996.
Greg was a general practitioner for many years and retired from Wausau Hospital as an Emergency Room physician. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with "the boys at the shack."
Private Mass was held Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice presided. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to your local humane society.
