HARTMAN, Robert M. "Bob", Overland Park, Ks., formerly of Oklahoma City, passed away Monday, April 28, 1997, at his daughter's home. Bob was born January 24, 1919 in Fort Worth, Tx. He was a Captain, QMC in the Army from 1941-45, serving in Italy and North Africa. He attended Texas Christian University and was a member of Blue Goose International, the Texas and Oklahoma Field Men's Assoc., Oklahoma Manager's Assoc., and Independent Insurance Agent's Assoc. His career spanned 56 years, working with Commercial Standard, Great American Ins., Gulf Ins., and retired in 1990 as Vice President of C.L. Frates and Company. He was a deacon and elder of the Presbyterian Church and a member of Westminster Presbyterian for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Isabel, February 19, 1997. Bob's greatest joy was golf. He belonged to F.O.O.L. (Fraternal Order of Linksmen). As a special tribute, Bob's team mates will carry him to his final green. He is survived by his daughter, Millicent H. Chapman; 2 grandsons, Reid and Hunter; and brother, David L. Hartman, Houston, Tx. Graveside services at Resurrection Cemetery, OKC, 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 2. A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church Chapel, at 4:00 p.m., followed by a reception in the church courtyard. The family suggests memorial donations to MeMa and PaPa's Flower Garden, 21615 W. 72nd St., Shawnee, Ks 66218.
