Ernest M. Riep, 83, of 1302 Noyes St., a retired foreman, died yesterday in his home.
He was born in Germany and came to Utica as a youth.
He attended local schools and for 40 years had been a foreman with Savage Arms retiring about 10 years ago.
He married Caroline Schwald in 1921.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Masons.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. A. E. (Lillian) Allen, New Hartford, a
