On October 25, 1911, Lena Augusta Grant and William Irving Canty were married in Birmingham, AL uniting two of the oldest Pascagoula families.
Lena survived her husband by twenty years and continued to live in the family home at the corner of Pascagoula and Joe Street with her youngest son, Harold Edward "Bub", until her death.
