Ferd A. Courtney, age 93, of Kettering, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at Bethany Lutheran Village.
Ferd was born on June 30, 1916 in Berry, Kentucky to Andrew J. and Lizzie (Sowder) Courtney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Turner Courtney; his son, Bill Courtney; three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his twin daughters, seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Ferd was employed by Dohrn Transfer Company for 37 years and a member of Teamsters Local #957. Entombment Miami Valley Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
