She was born in Media, PA, daughter of the late John J. & Emily L. Miles Green. She was of the Christian Faith. During W.W. II, she was a welder in a shipyard. Along with her late husband, they were manufacture representatives for various industries. Ethel was a volunteer with Hospice and in a hospital emergency room. At the age of 80, Ethel went to clown school. She was a life member of SIGMA Sorority.
Surviving is a son: Steven L. husband of Bonnie M. Balint of Atglen, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Helen Green and Dorothy Anspach, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will take place at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Thursday, September 3rd, at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Her son will conduct the service. A second service is planned at the Purcell Chapel Beyers Funeral Home, 114 West Noble Avenue, Bushnell, FL on Saturday, September 5th, at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Private interment in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Marines Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172 or Salvation Army, 669 East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, PA 19320 or Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, P.O.
