Mrs. Henry G. Aggen, 86, 2000 Taft Street, New Holstein, died Saturday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
The former Minerva Guetzloe was born October 1, 1899, in Kiel, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Menne Guetzloe. She was a Kiel High School graduate and was married to Henry G. Aggen on February 10, 1917, in New Holstein, where they lived. Mr. Aggen died in 1960.
Mrs. Aggen was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ of New Holstein, Evening Guild of the church, American Legion Auxiliary, Civic Society and New Holstein Senior Citizens of which she was treasurer.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leila Hipke of New Holstein; a son, Chester of Colorado City, Colorado; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Hennings of Kiel and Mrs. Viola Luehr of New Holstein. She was preceded in death by a son, and brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be at St. John's United church of Christ, New Holstein, with the Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in New Holstein Cemetery.
