Harry Wolfgang Weest (II) served as a Colonel in the United States Army.

He was a son of Harry Wolfgang Weest and Francisca "Fannie" Maude (Rutter) Weest.

He served in both World War I & World War II.

He first enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 7, 1918 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and served until his discharge on December 18, 1918.

He entered active service with the U.S. Army on March 5, 1941 at Ft. Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania.

He received his discharge from the Army on December 2, 1945 at Ft. Dix, New Jersey.

He was originally from Altoona, Pennsylvania.

His last place of residence was in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

He was the grandson of Wolfgang Weest (Find A Grave Memorial #21270746) and Anna Mary Hoeffler Weest (Find A Grave Memorial #21270718) of Altoona, Pennsylvania. Wolfgang and Anna were immigrants from Bavaria and Baden, Germany, respectively. Early in life, Harry's father worked for his dad, Wolfgang, in the family hotel and butcher business on 6th Street in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Their residence is now called "Blair House."

He was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.
