Aiken, SC – Cyril A. Asbill, Jr. died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mr. Asbill, 73, resided at 323 Laurens St.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Baptist Church. The Revs. Jim Holston, Jimmy McAdams and Tommy Knotts will officiate. Entombment will be private at Bethany Cemetery. A native of Monetta, Mr. Asbill was a son of the late Cyril, Sr. and Ruby Lybrand Asbill. He was retired from Bell South.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Alston Wilkes Society, Connie Maxwell Children's Home, Manpower Board, Masonic Lodge No. 134 and the Telephone Pioneers.
Surviving are his widow, Helen Frances Sage Asbill; two daughters, Helen Frances Weimortz, Irmo, and Pamela Jean Parker, Simpsonville; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lee Connelly, Brian Miller, Mike Grandy, Broadus Williamson, Ken Clark, Keith Herrington, Jimmy Cushman and Pete Sampson. Honorary pallbearers will be active and inactive deacons and Sunday school members of Memorial Baptist Church, Pioneer members, Bo Cato, William Bryant, Wallace Kitchens, Sidney Hartley and Willie Bryant.
