Funeral services for Wilburn D. "Buddy" Sharp, 82, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday April 28, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Richard Owen and Reverend Phillip Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery. Mr. Sharp was born February 10, 1927 in Huntington, Texas, to the late Willie (Wooten) and George W. Sharp. He died Sunday April 26, 2009 at his residence. Survivors include his wife Ruthie Sharp; daughter Doris Beauchamp; sons David Sharp, Leonard Sharp; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers; six sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
