Hartman, Anderson Funerals

Funeral services for Thomas Lee Hartman, Paul Theodore Anderson Jr., Randon Alfred Anderson and Joseph Eugene Andersonwere held Saturday afternoon at Snyder funeral home in Cowansville. The children, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Paul T. Anderson of Adrian RD1, died when a fire destroyed their home Thursday night. Ida B. West, pastor of Brethren in Christ Church in Adrian, officiated. A Hymn was sung by Mrs. Martha Harnagel. Casket Bearers were Dayrl Anderson, Joseph Bellas, Harry Bernard, Grant Cogley, Logan Goldinger, Robert Groves, Wayne Gourley, Daniel Hollobaugh, William Johns, Mervin Johns, Melvin Johns, Robert Johns, Robert Myers, Henry Pella, Joseph Tarr and Melvin Toy. Burial was made in Cowansville cemetery.

Home Burns (excerpt from tragic article)

The bodies were removed to the Snyder funeral home in Cowansville where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by Miss Ida B. West of the Adrian Brethren in Christ Church. Burial will be made in the Cowansville cemetery. Family visitation hours are from 7 to 10 o’clock tonight. Thomas Hartman is survived by his father, James Hartman of New York, his mother, and his sister. The other three victims are survived by their parents, their half-sister and their paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred J. Anderson of Templeton RD1. All four are survived by their maternal grandparents, Robert Groves of Kittanning RD3 and Mrs. Avis John of Franklin.
