Died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 at her home in Springfield.

Funeral Services were held Monday, Aug. 24 at the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Rev. Joe Hinkle and Dr. Tommy Crunk officiating.

Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemetery with David Allgood, Howard Allgood, Randy Allgood, Frank Smith, David Smith and Russell Holman serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles D. West, Kenneth Spicer, member of Barren Plains Baptist Church and the NorthCrest Hospice staff.

Mrs. Allgood was born July 22, 1915 in Robertson County to the late William Henry and Maude Jones Smith.

She was a "cafeteria lady" for many year and member of the Barren Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to here parents, Mrs. Allgood is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Allgood, a son, Johnny W. Allgood, her sisters, Louise Coulter, Mary Beal and Gladys Newberry; her brothers Henry Leo Smith, Roy Smith and infant brother, John Boyd Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda N. West of Springfield; sisters, Marie Harris of Goodlettsville, and Lois (Jimmy) Suter of Springfield; grandchildren, Lisa Teasley of Murfreesboro, David Allgood of LaVergne and Brandi West of Springfield; and great-grandchildren, Savannah Allgood, Tara Teasley, Faith Allgood and D.J. Allgood.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Barren Plains Baptist Church or to NorthCrest Hospice.
