Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Laura Alford, 81 years old, on February 21, at Chandler, Okla. She was the widow of the late J.H. Alford, formerly of Daviess county.
She is survived by eight children, Walter Conrad, a son by a former marriage, Cleve and Lon Alford of Chandler; Mrs. Olive Snodgrass, of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Pearl Wright, Mrs. Emma Mattingly and Gus Alford of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Frank (Lula) Boyd, of Hawesville, Ky.; also three stepchildren, J. Crit and J.W. Alford, of Owensboro and Mrs. Wilbur Ricks of Jacksonville, Fla.
Funeral services were conducted from the Chandler Methodist Church Friday afternoon with interment in Chandler cemetery.
