Clarence "Jr" Murphy, 74, of Memphis, hardwood flooring contractor, died Sept. 27, 2004 at his home.
Services were held Sept. 30 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East.
Mr. Murphy, the husband of Jean Billings Murphy for 53 years, also leaves a daughter, Cynthia Hooker of Memphis; three sons, Clarence Murphy of Bartlett, Steve Murphy of Memphis and Richard Murphy of Tipton County, Tenn.; a sister, Carol Houston of Ashland, Miss.; a brother, Winford Murphy of Walnut, Miss., 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
