Pope - ALVIN L. TUCKER, SR., 68, master engraver for S. C. Toof & Pepperite, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at his residence. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 25 at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel, and from 11 a.m. until Graveside services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 26 at Memory Hill Gardens, Bartlett. Mr. Tucker was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved the outdoors and a veteran of U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard H. and Mary Alieen Tucker. He leaves his companion, Sarah K. Spidle and her sons, Jeff and Mike Spidle; daughter, Amy Lynn Tucker Gooch of Pope, MS; son, Alvin Leon "Artic" (Jennifer) Tucker, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Sandra Peters of Oakland, TN and Bonnie Wilburn of Bartlett, TN; four brothers, Herman Tucker of Oakland, TN, Richard Tucker of Shephardsville, KY, Rodney Tucker of Bartlett, TN, and Tim Tucker of Miflin, TN, four grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby, Kaitlyn and Piper.
