TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Janice Marie Browder, 42, of Tahlequah, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David L. Young officiating. Interment will follow at Tahlequah City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Janice Marie Browder, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, mother, nurse and devoted Christian died Dec. 7, 2004, at the family farm in Tahlequah. She was born on Aug. 25, 1962, in Tahlequah to Joyce G. Willis and Jerry Browder.
Jan was raised in Tahlequah and upon graduating from Tahlequah High School she attended the University of Oklahoma. After graduating from OU, Jan moved to Alexandria, Va., where she received her nursing degree. She enjoyed nursing, and brought such peace and comfort to her patients. She was a kind and gentle person, always filled with love for others. Jan's patients always enjoyed her beautiful spirit and competent hand. Always willing to help, she traveled widely to fill in where nursing shortages existed. She spent time in Hawaii, New York, California, Texas, Boston and Oklahoma, always bringing her goodness of soul with her. Jan, most of all, enjoyed being with her family, building memories that could be stored away and brought forward to enjoy again and again.
Jan is survived by her mother, Joyce G. Willis of Tahlequah; her father, Jerry Browder of Forestberg, Texas; her son, Joseph Paulson of Boston, Mass.; brother, Ken Browder of Tahlequah; nephew, Jarod Browder; sister Kelly Browder of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two nieces, Megan McGowan and McKenzie Perdue; along with many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
