Lillian A. Bement, 71, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 1995 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point.
Lillian was born February 16, 1924 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, the daughter of Gordon and Lila Kjorven Courneya. She is survived by her husband, James R. "Bob" Bement of DeMotte; six sons, George of Cedar Lake, Roger (Catherine) West of Cicago, IL., Brian of St. Cloud, MN., Gordon (Georgette) of Hammond, IN. and Joe (Danielle) of Palatine, IL: Tom (Joanna) of Richmond, IN.; three daughters, Sandra (Jim) Weber of Shabbona, IL., Rose (Warren) Pontow of Highland, IN. and Darlene (Ray) Neher of Grand Blanc, Michigan; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat (Glen) Savage of Marble Falls, TX., two brothers, Martin (Pauline) Courneya of Port Richey, FL., and Eugene (Judy) Courneya of Hammond, IN.
Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 1995 at the Todd-Steinke Funeral Home in DeMotte, Indiana. Parish prayer service Saturday at 2 p.m. Funeral services Monday, April 17, 1995 at 10 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in DeMotte with Father Paul R. Wicklum officiating. Burial at Cemetery of the Resurrection in DeMotte, Indiana. 219-987-2323.
Mrs. Bement was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Unity Circle #363.
