-- ROCK HILL Mr. Edward Beam, age 71 of 1476 Twin Lakes Rd. died Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at his residence. A private funeral service has been scheduled. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 4:00pm Saturday, May 27, 2000 at the home of Bill Beam, 2283 Mt. Holly Rd., Rock Hill, SC.
Mr. Beam was of the Protestant faith and a retiree from AME with 38 years of service as a welder. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force during WWII. He was the widower of Gladys Taylor Beam.
Surviving are his son William "Bill" Beam of Rock Hill, SC, his step-daughter Mary Martin of Rock Hill, two brothers, Melvin Beam and Bobby Beam both of Rock Hill; and his companion, Freda L. McMullen of Rock Hill.
Greene Funeral Home is serving the Beam family.
