Lucille M. Bordeaux
LUCILLE M. BORDEAUX Hobart, Indiana Formerly Gary, Indiana Lucille M. Bordeaux, age 89, a longtime resident of Hobart and formerly of Gary, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009. She was born on February 28, 1920 in Merrill, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Anna Karau. Lucille was married to Woodrow Bordeaux in Gary, Indiana, and he preceded her in death in 1964. Lucille worked as a toll road attendant for the Indiana Toll Road for over 19 years and retired in 1985. She was a member of the Hobart 1st United Methodist Church and a member of the Hobart Chapter of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her son, Ronald Bordeaux of Boulder City, Nevada; sister, Annette Mowry, Aurora, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Woodrow Bordeaux, son, Sanford Bordeaux, 2 brothers, Edwin Karau and Leslie Karau, 3 sisters, Linda Zack, Erna Gibson, and Celia Lindsey. A visitation for Lucille Bordeaux will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service for Lucille Bordeaux will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home with Reverend Jonathan Gosser, officiating.
