Mitchell Currin Adcock, 88, of 1700 Old Milburnie Road, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Rex Healthcare in Hospice Care.
Mitchell was born in Granville County on June 13, 1921 to the late Erroll Simpson Adcock and Annie Currin Adcock.
Mitchell served the Lord as a faithful deacon and charter member of Green Pines Baptist Church. He was a dedicated employee of CP&L until his retirement. He enjoyed farming and spending time with family.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Eurtress Pearce Adcock; a brother, Simpson Pleasant Adcock; sisters, Lida Boatman Adcock, Mozelle Bailey, and Mary Belle Currin.
