The granite monument for Ira and Eavy Bishop and their children was dedicated on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Darien Primitive Baptist Church, 2:00 p.m. (Claire Bishop Caldwell organized the monument project.)

In the name of God, Amen. I, Iry Bishop being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainy of this frail and transitory life do therefore make ordain publish and declare this to be my last will and testament that is to I give unto my daughter Mary Wiloughby an the lawful heirs of her boddy the following described real estate to wit: fraction of A of section thirty in Township (24) of range (25) also the North East quarter of the North of N East quarter of Section (30) Township (24) of Range 25, also fraction B in Section Thirty in Township (34) of Range 25 containing twenty two acres, Making in all one hundred an thirteen acres more or less. I give and bequeath unto my grandson James Thomas Wiloughby one sorrel horse, one heffer, red with a star in her face. I give an bequeath unto my daughter Mary Wiloughby all my house hold and kitchen furniture. I have and bequeath unto my son, Asa Bishop, five dollars, also unto my Son, Benjamin Bishop, five dollars, also to my son Jefferson's children five dollars, also to my son, James Bishop five dollars, also my daughter, Martha Worthy, five dollars, also to my son Henry, five dollars, also to my son Joseph, five dollars, also to my son, Billy, five dollars, in witness whereof I have here unto subscribed my name and affix my seal the 15th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eighteen hundred and Eighty one.
