Shirley Jean Ogle Nester, age 73, of Barren Springs, VA passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009. She was born March 8, 1936 in Pulaski County, daughter of the late Willie James and Peachy Horton Ogle. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Nester Payne. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm B. Nester of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Rufus Cloud, Jr. of Cana, VA, Sabrena and Gary Rorrer of Barren Springs, VA; one sister, Nina Scott of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Myra Edwards, Avery Nester, Alysen Rorrer and Sarah Rorrer; three great grandchildren, Kindal Edwards, Dylan Nester and Emma Nester. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at Glenwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bryan Wyke and Rev. Tommy Vass officiating. Graveside services will be private in Sutphin Family Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until service time. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
