Even though Edna had no children, there were times when she took nieces and nephews under her wings, and loved them as though they were her childen.
Edna O. Lanford, age 93, of Boerne, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2004. Born in Haw Creek, Texas, on May 31, 1911, she was the daughter of Albert John and Hulda Mutschler Schneider. Preceded in death by her Husband of 35 years (Marriage date was June 2, 1949), Lennis Lanford on July 2, 1984, and 6 sisters, Albertine Conrad, Anita Conrad, Paula Nolte, Ida Striedel, Norma Schooley, and Varline Paul.
Mrs. Lanford is survived by Step Daughter, Shirley Adamcik and her husband, Frank; Two Step Grandchildren; 5 Step Great Grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends. Visitation was held on Sunday, October 10 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 11 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boerne Church of Christ, with Randy Couchman, Officiating. Burial followed at Mission Park North Cemetery in San Antonio. Active Pallbearers were Brett Montier, Darby Darilek, Charley Berny, Ryan Gililland, Aaron Gililland, and Marshall Acord; Honorary Pallbearers were Quentin Darilek, Heath Conrad, Kevin Schooley, Dennis Lyon, Greg Edelen, Milan Edelen, Ben Phillips, Sam Daniels, Don Hood, Robert Jubela, George Pierce, Jim Little, and Jim Wyatt.
