Funeral services for Julio Marciano Ruvalcaba, 27, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August, 18, 2009 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Julio passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2009. He was born on January 14, 1982 to Julio and Irma Ruvalcaba in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married his longtime friend and sweetheart, Miranda Aguilar on June 26, 2004 in Lubbock.

Julio graduated from Estacado High School in 2000 and joined the U. S. Marine Corps, where he was a Veteran of Operation Iraq Freedom.

When Julio returned from the war, he began working with TDCJ as a Correctional Officer in Lamesa, and eventually transferred to The Montford Unit in Lubbock. Their son, Isaac, is now two years old. Julio recently took up golfing and archery with hopes to one day teach his son.
Julio was survived by his wife, Miranda; son, Isaac; parents, Julio and Irma Ruvalcaba; sister, Cynthia; brothers, Bernabe and Emmanuel; nephews, Alex, David, Jay and Leo.

Pallbearers will be: Bernabe Ruvalcaba, David Salinas, Michael Samford, Colby Swint, Juan Castellon, and Rene Delgado.

Honorary pallbearer: Emmanuel Ruvalcaba.
