Ronald W. Casey, 56, of Lafayette, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Born March 13, 1950, in Chicago to Shirley Casey and the late Robert Casey, he received a bachelor's degree from Butler University and master's Casey and doctoral degrees from Ball State University. His marriage was to Annice Church on Sept. 28, 1974, in Muncie, and she survives.

Mr. Casey was a school psychologist for the Greater Lafayette Area Special Services (GLASS) program in Lafayette since 1980. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in West Lafayette and the Indiana Association of School Psychologists. He enjoyed home remodeling projects and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Surviving with his wife and mother are two sons, Jeffrey Casey of Cincinnati and Joseph Casey of Lafayette. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas, Fr. Tom Jackson officiating. Private graveside service. Preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Schmitz. Memorials may be made to St Thomas Aquinas or charity of choice.
