He was born in Holly Springs, Arkansas, the son of the late Roy Key and Nora House Key. He was a retired employee of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Sheridan.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Hobbs Key; three stepsons, Talmadge B. England of Los Almos, New Mexico, Darwin C. England of Little Rock, and Ronnie Ritchey of Texas; a brother, Neal Key of Sheridan; two sisters, Ola Mae Scrimptshire of Malvern, and Allie Rogers of Louisiana; seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 28, with Rev. Harold Epperson officiating. Burial was in Lost Creek Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
