Avery Benson Beall, 72, Former Builder, Dead
Avery Benson Beall, well known among the older citizens of Washington, for many years a successful building contractor in the District of Columbia, who retired from active life some twenty years ago, died Tuesday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Carrie A. Wagner, 118 5th Street Northeast, aged seventy-two years. The funeral will be held from Mrs. Wagner’s residence this afternoon. The interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Georgetown, and will be private.
Mr. Beall was a native of Washington and lived here all of his life. He was the son of the late Avery C. Beall and Sarah Beall. Mr. Beall in his younger days had been an active member of the Union Carpenters’ organization and a member of the Sons of the Revolution. He was a communicant of the Church of the Nativity. The Rev. Enoch Thompson, rector, will conduct the funeral services.
