From the Rushville Republican...a story written by Bill Ward about earlier days in Rushville published 1/6/2006:

Percy Stamm had a grocery on Eighth Street and he even delivered. I remember he had a Chevrolet panel truck with huge letters "Stamm Grocery" on the side. He had fresh meats and vegetables as well as general grocery items. The best place for fresh fruits and vegetables was on Second Street; it was run by the Meo family. I remember the elder Mrs. Meo telling everyone whatever they were looking at was the best around. And everyone was "honey." It smelled so good and was always so clean.

From the Rushville Republican...a story about how shopping has changed over the years published 9/6/2010:

..............Percy Stamm had a grocery on Eighth Street and he also had a meat cutter employed. Percy also delivered to the home whatever you ordered. Mom thought that was great as she worked as well as Dad so having the groceries delivered at the time requested was great for her............................
