Clyde Ross, a lifelong resident of Big Sandy, passed from this life Tuesday, 9/26/00 in Paris. He first began writing his column "Lick Creek News" in the Chronicle for Bob and Rose Johnson many years ago.
He and his wife, Dorothy, wrote about the area where they lived. His article was named after the Lick Creek Road that runs from Big Sandy toward the Tennessee River and their writing contained a lot of history. Mr. Ross had many faithful readers, and continued to write until his health failed several weeks ago.
Funeral services for Mr. Ross will he held Thursday, September 28 at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Big Sandy
He was a Mason.
