and died
April 27th 1872
Here lies the remains of
an orphan boy who by his own
unaided efforts attained to
usefulness and respectability
among his contemporaries.
He was a 1st Lieut. in the
War of 1812.
Served as Sheriff of this
County four years.
was a member of the So. Ca.
Senate and enjoyed other
offices of profit and honor.
In all his ways he acknowledged
God and He directed his path.
He was a true P. Master Mason
a firm Christian
who was faithful to his God
and Country and how sleeps
in Jesus.
