Cora Lee Ardry, 84, of Waco, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009, in Waco. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Cary Killough officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 9, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Cora was born in Satin, Texas, to the late Fritz Lheutzy and Vada Helen Keel Lheutzy. Cora spent most of her life as a self-employed beautician and ran her own shop for over fifty years as Cora Lee's Beauty Shop in Waco. She lived her life to the fullest with family and friends and cherished every moment she could with all of her family. She lived for the Lord and was active in church up until her illness with Alzheimer's, and always shared the word of God with everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Lhuetzy, Bernice Brown and Thelma Huseby.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Sharon Bates and her husband, Bill; son, Johnny Russo; grandson, Billy Bates Jr. and his wife, Cathy; granddaughters, Sharon Bates Huber and her husband, Alan, Angelia Vasquez and her husband, Max, and Laura Russo; step-daughters, Diana Esquivel and Janet Rivera; great-grandson, Corey Thompson and his wife, Jennifer; great-granddaughters, Marisa Bates and Britnee Bates; great-great-grandchildren: Mia Thompson, Nicolas Thompson, Zeria Myles, and Samatha and Max Vasquez Jr.; brother, Fred Lhuetzy; sister, Leona Weber; other relatives and many friends.
