Richard Dick Amman, age 81 of Spring Green, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 1999, following a brief illness. He was born on April 6, 1917, in Chesaning, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Anna (Tietz) Amman. He was married on May 8, 1943 to the former Marian Vasko. Dick was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and the Spring Green Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Marian of Spring Green; his children Richard A. Amman of Boca Raton, Florida, Robert J. Amman of Lansing, Michigan, Theo J. (Rose) Amman of Cross Plains, Julius D. Amman of Mesa, Arizona and Patricia Amman of Custer, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, John and Teresa Amman; two sisters, Edith Labick of Flint, Michigan and Josephine Cosco of Utica, New York; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Amman; brothers and sisters, Cecilia Prieur, Helen Gentile, Rita Herman, Paul, Edward, Reverend Julius, Albert, Bernard and Brother Armand Amman C.S.C. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday, February 21, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church in Spring Green. Father Kenneth Klubertanz will oficiate with burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Polonia, Wisconsin on Monday, February 22, 1999 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 20, 1999 at Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Sunday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
