PARKS – Donald M., 80, Johnstown, died Aug. 7, 2009, at Windber Hospice. Born March 26, 1929, in Fargo, N.D., son of the late Merle W. and Helen (Marks) Parks. Preceded in death by sister, Sara Griffith. Survived by wife, Marie R. "Mary" (Maier) Parks; children, Barbara Misosky, and husband, Philip "Pete," Johnstown; and Brian Parks, and his wife, Colleen, Wernersville, Pa.; and grandchildren: Matthew Sernell, Rachel Sernell, Sarah Misosky, Michael Parks and Joseph Parks. Also survived by brother, David Bruce Parks, and his wife, JoAnn, Louisville, Ky. Member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He retired from Conemaugh Engraving Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Brian Armen officiating. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
