He married Ethel Collins on December 23, 1936, in Whitesburg, KY. He is survived by daughters, Mary Lois Loudin of Seymour and Sharon Sturgill of Clearspring; a sister, Inez Majors of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
