COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 07/15/1976
Thomas Cleo Bland, 54, of 11008 National Turnpike, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday at Veterans Hospital. He was a native of Bullitt County and a self-employed concrete worker. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Hembree and Mrs. Barbara Reeves; two sons, Samuel G. and Darrell W. Bland, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the W. G. Hardy Shively Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway, with burial in Bethany Cemetery.

Bland; brother of Mrs. James (Margaret) Rose, Mrs. Bonnie Spooner, Mrs. Alberta Buringame, Mrs. Dianne Powell, Messrs. George, Bud, Donald, Palmer and Jerry Bland; 7 grandchildren. Remains at the W. G. Hardy Shively Chapel, 4101 Dixie Hgwy., where funeral services will be held Fri., at 2 p.m. Interment Bethany Cemetery.
