Clifford Ferris
Clifford Ferris, aged 70, of Westville, died Thursday, January 27, at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
Mr. Ferris was born December 14, 1895, in Westville, the son of Charles and Effie (Eckler) Ferris. He married Luella Kilts on November 9, 1918. In World War One, he served with Company G of Oneonta.
He was a life member of the Milford American Legion and a member of the Westville Grange.
Surving are his wife; a daughter, MRs. Robert Root of Cooperstown; a son, Leon or Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren; a half-sister, Mrs. George H. Harrison of Cooperstown, and a Foster brother, Milton Carr of Westville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m on Saturday, January 29, from the Tillaaugh Funeral Home in Cooperstown, with the Rev. Philip Pitcher of the Westville Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be later in the Westville Cemetery.
