Rudolph Muenster, 62, passed away at this home here Sunday morning following a stroke.

Born July 27, 1882 on a farm a mile south of New Holstein, now known as the Edward Loehr from, he attended the public schools here and then resided in Cottonwood, Idaho, Phillipps and Lomira, Wis., for several years.

He married Miss Caroline Dumke of here on May 20, 1905, and the couple lived at Kiel for three years where he conducted a butcher shop. They returned to New Holstein and he was employed at the Lauson Manufacturing Co. for several years before buying the Claus Wichmann farm west of here where they lived for 15 years before returning to this city.

Survivors are his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. Leslie Knight, Marytown; Mrs. Carl Genal, Oshkosh; Mrs. James Vollstedt, New Holstein; 3 sons, all in service, S/Sgt. Howard in the European theater, Pfc Donald on a hospital ship, and S1/c Frederich in the Pacific theater; 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Herman Tiedgens, New Holstein, and Mrs. Rolla Harnack, Milwaukee; and a brother, Herman of New Holstein.

Funeral services for Rudolph Muenster of New Holstein will be held Wednesday at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home in New Holstein, the Rev. A. G. Schmid, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church officiating. Interment will be made in New Holstein cemetery. Mr. Muenster was an employee of Wadhams Oil Co. for 16 years and the past few months worked at Meili-Blumberg Co., in New Holstein.
