Funeral services for Andrew Clayton (Dock) Acord, 76, of Rock Creek, will be conducted at 2:30 p. m., Wednesday in the Rebecca Chapel Church at Rock Creek with the Rev. Wade Webb and the Rev: M. G. Flowers in charge. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery at Rock Creek.

He died in a local hospital at 9:40 p. m., Sunday following a long illness.

Born Nov. 11, 1886, at Rock Creek, he was a son of the late James and Nancy Hunter Acord.

A life long resident of Raleigh County he was a retired timber-man and had owned and operated several saw mills.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bacie Acord; six daughters, Mrs. Arley (Effie) Dickens and Mrs. Alonzo (Lettie) Dickens, both of Arnett; Mrs. Roger (Fern) Cournoyer, Glen Dale, Calif.; Lettie, Nancy and Julie, all at home; three sons, James Clayton, Surveyor; Ivan and Jack, both at home; one brother, Bee Acord, Dry Creek; one sister, Mrs. Laura Clay, Pettus; 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

The body will be removed from the Melton Mortuary to the home at 4 p. m. Tuesday and to the church one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Dickens, David Cantley, Benny Milam, Herbert Hoover, Rex Sarrett and Harry Lewis.
