He was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula. He was a member of Liberty Baptist, but attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Hampton. He will be remembered mostly for his smile and always making friends and family laugh.
He walks now in heaven alongside his parents, Clayborn and Ruby Campbell, and his best friend, Buddy, his dog.
Survivors include his beloved sisters, Linda (David) Fauls of Hampton, and Tina Campbell of Newport News; brothers, John (Mary), and Stephen (Brenda) Toole of Newport News, and Robert Campbell of Newport News; gracious godparents, Carmela and Mel Woolard of Newport News; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear faithful friends to cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 4, 2009, at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday, in Peninsula Memorial Park .
