Funeral Services were held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Brister officiating. Burial was in Limestone Memorial Gardens, Athens, AL with Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Born Monday, July 8, 1935 in Marks, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Cap Barrett, Sr. and the late Eula Dodson Barrett.
He served in the Army from 1958 until 1964.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kenneth Wayne Barrett.
Survivors include his wife: Sharon Barrett of Elkmont, AL, sons, Roy Barrett of Lewisburg, TN and Mark Prescott of Athens, AL, daughter, Susan Reid of Carthage, MS, Two brothers, three sisters,11 grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.
