Charles W. Dwyer, Sr., 19 Pearson St., Andover, a retired rubber worker, died Monday at Lawrence General Hospital after a short illness.

Born in England, June 2, 1891, he had lived in Andover for the past 50 years. Mr. Dwyer worked for many years at the Tyer Rubber Company before retiring 20 years ago. During World War II, he served in the Canadian Army. He attended St. Augustine's church and was a member of the holy Name Society of that parish.

Survivors include his wife, the former Alma Gaudet; five sons, John P. Dwyer of Lake Tahoe, Nev., George Dwyer of Monterey, Calif., Fred Dwyer of Long Beach, Calif., Charles W. Dwyer, Jr., of Salem, N.H., and Edward Dwyer of Andover; a daughter, Mrs. Theresa Demarco of Lawrence; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Oates, Mrs. Rose Palmer, and Mrs. Hilda martin, all of England; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine's Church. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery.

Alma and Charles Dwyer's Children

Lillian was born October 17, 1920 (Bernice's twin) and died during the year 1968. She had TB and married a man from the Danvers, Massachusetts State Hospital.

Bernice was born October 17, 1920 (Lillian's twin) and died in 1921.

A son born 1922 and died at birth.

John was born March 20, 1924. He moved to Eldorado, Colorado and had a heart attack while building his home. He died days later on the 9th of December, 1986.

George was born June 20, 1925 and died some time in 2008.

Wilfred and Winifred (twins) were born September 2, 1926 and both died at birth.

Hilda was born August 31, 1927 and died years later in a airplane crash in California; her body was never found.

Marie Theresa was born August 15, 1928.

Fredrick was born October 14, 1930 and resides in California.

Charles was born September 17, 1931 and died in Florida.

Edward was born July 16, 1937 and resides in Bradford, Massachusetts.
