PANHANDLE - (Spc) - Orlando Ruben Meaker, 83, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Groom Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Meaker was born April 28, 1895, in Sibley, Ill. He came to Carson County in 1910.
He was a retired farmer, constable, and deputy sheriff.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene of the home; two sons, Lee Roy and Vincent, both of Panhandle; two brothers, Charlie of Panhandle and Purl of Pampa; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Two daughters preceded him in death.
Funeral services are pending at Smith Funeral Home in Panhandle.
