Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, Monday, July 31, 1995

Bruce James Patterson, 36, Rocky Mount, died Saturday in Morgan County as the result of a drowning accident. He was born July 25, 1959, in Grain Valley, a son of Joseph and Lucy Evelyn Patterson. His father survives in Brumley.

He lived in Florida for seven years and returned to Missouri in 1992. He had worked for the Independent Stave Company in Eldon and in the logging industry as an independent logger.

Other survivors include four brothers, Paul Patterson, Lake Ozark, Kelvey Patterson and Bryan Patterson, both of Tuscumbia, and John Patterson, Bolivar; and one sister, Debby Huddleston, Brumley.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.
